Using School Connects (Synervoice) for student absences

Elementary schools now have the ability to send pre-set phone call messages and emails to parents when a student is absent.  Beginning on Monday, May 4, Our Lady of Wisdom will be moving to this system for our students.  Reasons for moving to this system include:

 ·      The speed with which the school can now message parents is increased.

·      Parents receive this communication a number of ways – home telephone number, parent’s work number and cell number.  Emails will also be sent, all based on the information entered into our student’s contact information in our files.

·      Time is saved for the Office Administrator who currently must manually make absence calls one after the other.


We have discussed the switch with School Council at our April meeting and they supported the change.  As always, your feedback is appreciated.
